From a young age Founder of the Ocean Walker, Adam Walker has always had a passion for both swimming and helping others achieve their goals and dreams.
Since 2013 Adam and Head Coach Gemma Clarke have coached more than 40 DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES IN 16 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES the Ocean Walker Technique™ through Swim Camps, 1-1 lessons, Skype Program, Webinar sessions and privately arranged groups.
The Ocean Walker® brand has become internationally recognised through Adam Walkers unique style of swimming and global presence. The Best Selling Authors ground-breaking swim stroke is enabling people around the world of varying abilities to swim faster for longer, while reducing the chance of injury. Due to working within the bodies natural range the Ocean Walker Technique is allowing previously injured and rehabilitating swimmers to continue swimming for health, fitness and enjoyment.
In 2018, following high demand to learn and teach the revolutionary Ocean Walker Technique, the Ocean Walker Academy was launched. Moving forward plans are underway to open a brand new purpose built specialist swim centre. The Ocean Walker Academy Headquarters is set to open in 2021.

How It All Started
1st December 2006
This was the moment Adam Walker decided he wanted to swim the English Channel after watching a movie on an airplane called ‘On a Clear Day’ (you can find this movie on Netflix!)
First of Many Channel Relays
30th August 2007
Adam Walker swims his first English Channel Relay with team TACC in training for his solo swim the following year.
Adam Swims the English Channel
14th July 2008
Adam swims the English Channel, 21 miles in 11 hours 31 minutes. Following the swim Adam finds he has a partially ruptured bicep tendon, that requires surgery.
Never Give Up
1st October 2010
Following surgery on his shoulder, Adam is medically advised to give up long distance swimming. He has his eyes on the Gibraltar Strait and so starts researching different swim stroke styles.
Record Breaker
5th July 2011
Adam successfully swims the Gibraltar Strait 2 Ways and, he sets a new British record from Tarifa to Morocco.
Fastest Man
13th August 2011
Adam puts himself to the test yet again and swims 2 way Windermere (largest Lake in UK), coming in as fastest man swimming 21 miles in 10 hours 31 minutes
The 17 Hour Monster Swim
21st June 2012
Adam goes through hell and back to complete his 3rd Oceans 7 Channel Swim in Hawaii’s Molokai Strait.

16th October 2012
Adam swims the Catalina Channel in 12 hours 15 minutes.
The Finer Details

Adam has a third operation on his shoulder and gets back into training going back to the drills he practiced at the beginning, finding that 5 of these were key in building the technique up from start to finish.

Ocean Walker run their first signature 5 day swim camp in Malta for channel training.

Adams swims the Cook Strait in New Zealand. His incredible experience with the Dolphins surrounding him as a shark lurks below goes global as Adam Walker and his Oceans 7 challenge is catapulted into the public eye.
No More Toasters

Adam Walker leaves his Salesman role going full time with Ocean Walker and never looked back.
1st Brit to Swim The Oceans 7

Adam Walker does it – he swims his seventh channel and gets across on first attempt. This makes him the first ever and only Brit to swim the Oceans 7 and the second in the World to have completed all on 1st attempt. 22 miles in 10 hours 45 minutes.

Open Water Ambassador

RLSS announce Adam Walker as their Open Water Swimming Ambassador. Helping to promote safe swimming in open water.
The 1st Official Open Water Lifeguard
18th October 2015
Adam Walker works with the RLSS to create the first open water lifeguard qualification. Becoming the 1st qualified in open water lifesaving.
Ice Ice Baby
4th February 2017
Adam trains through the Winter and completes an official ratified Ice Mile.
